RB usage ranks running backs by carry share — the share of team rushes they handle. Carry share plus red-zone work predicts fantasy scoring better than raw yards alone.

RB Usage FAQ

What is carry share?

Carry share is a back's carries divided by team rushing attempts. It shows who truly owns the backfield.

Why does RB usage matter for waivers?

When a starter loses snaps or gets hurt, the handcuff with the next-highest carry share and red-zone carries usually inherits the workload.

Carry share vs rushing yards?

Yards can hide committee roles. Carry share and red-zone carries reveal who will score when opportunities open.

RB Usage Leaders Guide

Running back carry share and rushing volume from NFL play-by-play. Spot workhorse backs and committee risks.

Not all RB touches are equal. RB Usage shows carry share and rushing volume aggregated from FantasyHQ play-by-play.

Committee vs workhorse

A 60%+ carry share back in standard leagues is gold. In PPR, add receiving work — check target columns on player profiles and RB rankings.
