This is a great drill for balance, footwork, and really developing your defensive linemen to be good with their hands and able to move. I think it’s great for all the skills that you want a defensive linemen to have.
During the video, you’ll see a couple of players demonstrating the wheel drill so that you have a better understanding of how it operates.
After you’ve had your linemen do the drill a few times, you can have a competition during football practice between the players to see who can do it the fastest.
