Ultimate football is a fun way to combine fun, [tag]football drills[/tag], and speed.   If you are not familiar, UF is sort of like rugby, two hand touch, and skill all combined to help players develop relationships, conditioning, and skills.Football Practice Drills

The short version, players line up on the ten yard line and a player takes the [tag]football[/tag].   Players work a as team as they try to drive down the field in ANY way possible.   Once the football touches the ground before the goal line, the position changes. If players cross the goal line they score.     Players touch the player with the football with two hands and then line up again to resume play.

Players love this and it gives the players who are not great athletes an opportunity to show their stuff.   Moreover, it helps with team unity and speed.   Conditioning is implemented as well in a non-traditional format.

Coaching tips

  • Keep one cue per rep so kids hear the same language every time.
  • Film the first live set; pause on footwork and finish, not just the ball.
  • Pair this drill with a matching play install so practice transfers to game day.
