From Rea”¦
Here are two [tag]football drills[/tag] we do that the kids love.   They are fun,   effective and they ask to do them!

HIT THE MOVING TARGET
Put as many [tag]football[/tag]s as you like on the 50 yard line.
Line up your players on the 30 yard line.
Blow the whistle and the players try to get a ball.
The object is to hit as many moving targets as possible.
The bounds is the area from the 30 to 50 yard line.
You can do this to the first one with 20 hits wins or a time frame.

LAST MAN STANDING
In this version once you’re hit your out.   Like Dodgeball, if you catch a ball the other person is out.

Coaching tips

  • Keep one cue per rep so kids hear the same language every time.
  • Film the first live set; pause on footwork and finish, not just the ball.
  • Pair this drill with a matching play install so practice transfers to game day.
