FantasyHQ has three tools that answer “which player is better?” and they are not interchangeable. Picking the right one saves you from reading a season-long number to settle a single-week question.
Which tool answers your question
- Player Compare — you want to see why one player grades higher. Every metric side by side: PPR rank, projections, target and carry share, snap share, red-zone touches, matchup, and last-three-game form.
- Start / Sit — you have a lineup deadline and want the fast weekly call, with a shareable page for a specific NFL week.
- Rankings — you are ordering the whole player pool for a draft or a waiver claim, not two names.
Reading a comparison honestly
Weekly decisions turn on matchup and usage; season-long decisions turn on rank and points per game. Volume is the more repeatable signal, so a player with a 20% target share in a bad matchup is usually the safer start than an efficient player stuck at 10%. When the confidence score is low, the two players really are close — break the tie on role, then check the injury report before kickoff.
