Full drill
This is a [tag]defensive football drill[/tag] that I use often in my [tag]football practice plans[/tag]. I use this [tag]football drill[/tag] with our defensive backs.I call it the “Oskie” drill.
Set up 4 cones in a 15 x 15 square.
Have two lines of secondary players.
The first two players line up side by side and begin by dropping straight back.
The football coach points to the cone he wants the dbs to run to.
The dbs change direction while keeping their eyes on the coach.
The dbs continue to each randomly select cones until the coach throws the [tag]football[/tag].
They catch the ball and run towards the coach (interception) and yell “Oskie” to let their teammates know they’ve intercepted the pass.
It teaches our defensive backs to change direction and react to ball movement.
