In today’s video blog, we are discussing 2 great plays that allow us to send our receivers upfield a little deeper before they have to break to their different routes. When running these football drills in your practice, you can learn to adjust the depth that your quarterback drops back and increase your fielders time to get deeper into the field, by using either the “Three Step Drop” or the “Five Step Drop”. The Five Step Drop results in a deeper drop back by the quarterback.
By implementing these football drills into your practice, you can work the basics of getting back in the pocket and setting the foot, as well as left and right field throws and the proper body mechanics to equal successful drop passes to either side of the field.
