Player is in 4 point stance and chopping his feet. He listens to the [tag]football coach[/tag] who instructs: roll right or roll left, continuing to chop his feet in a 4 point stance. When the coach says up and break down, the player then gets into a 2 point stance, chopping his feet, hands up in an attack position.
There is an offensive lineman standing over him in a 2 or 3 point position. When coach says “go”, they collide and the coach, or a player, has the [tag]football[/tag] and runs behind.
The purpose of the [tag]football drill[/tag] is for the defensive guy to hit and read, and practice on wrapping up the ball carrier or just moving in the right direction.
